Partnering for Cybersecurity: Optimizing Resources in a Constrained Environment for Public and Rural Electricity Providers

Cybersecurity preparedness and response in a resource-constrained enterprise, partnering Information Technology with Operational Technology security and operations professionals, and with a detailed focus on the business and regulatory environment that public and rural electricity providers experience.

At the end of this course, students are better prepared to plan for, exercise and respond during cyber (and other) incidents across the entity in a more cohesive partnership and increased understanding of the unique needs of each other. During an incident, this will result in improved communication, increased resilience and enhanced safety for providers and the public (customers), alike.

Target Audience

Information Technology, Operational Technology and operations staff, primarily at public and rural (cooperative) electricity providers, with benefit applicable to other resource-constrained critical infrastructure providers (e.g., water, transportation) in similar environments.
